What we did
The SD sealants team carried out works on behalf of Barnes Construction, who are commercial building developers working on projects for a range of sectors.
When it comes to completing the final development stages of any new building, sealing the rooms and corridors is essential, not only for aesthetics and insulation but to ensure a high level of comfort for every guest staying in the hotel. As part of this project, SD was contracted to seal each of these areas as well as the ground floor reception, lobby area and bar. When done well, sealant application not only looks seamless and hygienic, but creates a comfortable and welcoming environment, which is what the team set out to achieve here.
As well as the inside of the hotel, SD was also asked to carry out sealant work to the exterior of the Travelodge. Our team removed the old sealant from the outside of the building, replacing it with movement joints to the gaps in the stonework on the ground floor, which will allow for the façade to move safely without cracking.
Results
Following their on-site presence in East London, the team delivered high-quality sealant work to both the internal and external of the building to an excellent standard, highlighting their efficiency and quality of workmanship, and ensuring every area from the rooms to the lobby area were polished and ready for the hotel to welcome its first guests.
