New Hall was originally established in 1933 as an open prison for young male offenders. In 1987, it was converted into a women’s prison and has since operated as a closed prison for adult female inmates. The visitor centre is close to the prison and accommodates visitors and families of inmates.
What we did
Working in partnership with Algeco and Wates, our sealant team delivered expert mastic application for an internal fit-out project.
The team applied anti-pick mastic to all internal fixings, furniture, and sanitaryware throughout the site. Anti-pick mastic is specifically designed for environments where tamper resistance is critical – offering a tough, long-lasting seal that helps prevent damage, improves hygiene, and enhances the overall resilience of the installation.
This type of sealant is especially important in secure or high-traffic environments such as hospitals, care homes, or custodial settings, where both safety and cleanliness are paramount.
The project was completed over the course of one week, with two of our skilled operatives on site.
