The Mariners, Rock
The SD cosmetic repairs team provided one of Cornwall’s culinary jewels with a makeover – a beach front restaurant run by celebrity chef Paul Ainsworth. In total, the team worked nearly 40 days and had five different technicians working on the project to continue the success of the venue and it was fantastic to contribute to giving it a fresh new look.
Caudwell International Children’s Centre
The state-of-the-art Caudwell International Children’s Centre (CICC) was the first of its kind in the UK and promised to lead the way in multi-disciplinary assessments, family support services and research into a wide range of autism interventions. SD carried out sealant application for kitchens, floors, toilets and internal windows on the premises and we were incredibly proud to be assisting with such an impressive project.
The MS Amera
Our Marine Service team recently completed work on MS Amera in Hamburg, a deluxe cruise ship that boasts nine passenger decks, a capacity for 835 passengers and more than 400 staff. The £30,000 project required a month-long refurbishment that involved silicone replacement inside the passenger cabins, all completed to a very high standard.
Bristol’s Temple Quarter Enterprise Zone
The SD tiling team won a prestigious £600k contract in 2019 for 376 high quality, long-term residential apartments in Bristol. We’re carrying out intensive tiling work across the apartments and communal areas for the 11-floor building, which is designed with a green infrastructure in mind and is set to transform the Temple Quarter area.
Yr Egin S4C headquarters
We were delighted to be asked to carry out finishing and cosmetic repairs on the brand new headquarters for Welsh language broadcasting channel S4C. The Yr Egin development, based in Carmarthen, is 3,700 square metres in size, with the internal layout focused around a public foyer and atrium that overarches three floors. Our repairs team were invited by Kier Group to carry out a series of finishing repairs, including internal doors and windows ready for its occupation in 2018.
