SD Team cosmetic repairs team completes work on Alfred Gunn House

Our cosmetics repairs team has recently been working on Alfred Gunn House, a nine-storey block, which will increase from 120 to 130 apartments once the work is completed. The 1960’s building, located in the West Midlands, is owned by Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council.

SD Team completes work on Yorkshire caravan site

Our cosmetics repairs team has recently been working at a caravan site based in Yorkshire where they were brought in to carry out work on a customer’s mobile home.

What we did

The SD Team was brought in to carry out work on one of the caravans based on site in Filey. The caravan was suffering from a few issues following its purchase and this is where the SD Team came in to respray the caravan.

This static caravan had originally been cream in colour, making the static home look tired and dreary. The customer asked for a light grey to give it a fresh look and, as part of the respray, the team also deep cleaned the outside of the caravan, ensuring a smooth and long-lasting finish.

Work completes on Countess of Chester Hospital

Our cosmetics repairs team has recently been working at the Countess of Chester Hospital, which is the main hospital for the city of Chester and consists of over 600 patient beds.

What we did

Founded in 1829, originally as a mental health asylum, the hospital was renamed the Countess of Chester Hospital officially in 1984. The main hospital provides a full range of immediate and short-term medical care and is managed by The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, where the partnership started in 2004.

The cosmetics repairs team has built up a strong relationship with The Countess of Chester Hospital Trust, having recently worked on other hospitals in the region that are also managed by the trust. The team were brought in to carry out works on the current outpatient reception desk in the hospital, to help repair it and bring it back to its original condition.

The SD Team wanted to ensure the project was sustainable and that it caused as little inconvenience as possible to the outpatient services, so closing down the ward temporarily was not an option. This also meant that as it was a live part of the hospital, the team were not able to carry out the works on the reception desk during working hours, so all repairs took place during the night.

Following years of wear and tear, the team were required to repair over 60 chips and dents that were located all over the desk as well as rectify a large amount of the original veneer which was peeling off from the surface.

SD Team completes work on Bedminster Green student accommodation

Our cosmetics repairs team has been working on Bedminster Green student accommodation, a building located in Bristol, consisting of between five to twelve bed apartments across five buildings.

Tarporley War Memorial Hospital

Our cosmetics repairs team has been working on Tarporley War Memorial Hospital, located in Cheshire, a building which has a wealth of history having opened over 100 years ago as a memorial to those who lost their lives in World War I.

Liberty Care Home is looking good as new thanks to the SD Team

The SD Cosmetic Repairs team have been on site at Liberty Care Home in Shropshire this year, carrying out a number of interior repairs, from cracked tiles to scratched door frames.
