What we did
The SD Cosmetics team was contracted to provide a range of specialist surface repairs, with the main goal being to restore and refinish damaged surfaces across the development, helping the principal contractor meet quality standards ahead of handover.
Our skilled technicians carried out a wide range of high-quality, invisible surface repairs, including lamination to the internal doors and frames as well as fixing numerous chips, scratches, dents, and impact damage to timber. The team also provided restoration to kitchen worktops across the apartments which involved repairing burn marks, scratches, dents, and joint imperfections to the surfaces. Other work that took place in the kitchens of the homes included cosmetic restoration to damaged corners, fronts, and edges to ensure a showroom-quality finish.
Throughout the bathrooms, the team repaired chips, cracks, and surface damage on acrylic and enamel fixtures, including baths, basins, and shower trays. Repairs were also made to the uPVC windows and frames, where scratches, scuffs and drill holes were all restored and colour-matched on both the interior and exterior surfaces.
As part of the final works, the internal windowsills were refurbished to address cosmetic damage caused by tools or materials during the construction process. Touch-ups were also carried out to the fire doors to ensure they met finishing standards, without compromising fire integrity.
